Club Covergirl announced!

So the Finals for the Club Covergirl competition are over. Its been several months, and some excellent talent has been involved. But now it comes down to three girls.

In third place is tess6262. Unfortunately you didn't complete any finals entries which was such a shame as you had come so far, but well done for reaching the finals, you did a great job.

So now it is between Lali-nena-nen4e and Twiilight.Freak. I have to say it was very close but in the end one girl really shined all the way through this competition.

Lali-nena-nen4e I really liked your part two entry, it was so well done, but unfortunately your part one entry let you down. But congratualtions for comming second! Its an amzing achievement and you should be so proud!

So, huge congratulations to Twiilight.Freak, the winner of the first Club Covergirl cycle in Perfect.Models!
For me your final entries were perfect. You scored 10/10 on both - they were Perfect! I have to say you have been excellent, you have huge talent.

Make it really creative and clever. Do something you have never done before and think about what the club is, what it is about and how to represent that. You can use my doll as well as yours if you want to.

Club Covergirl Round 6 Task

Wow, we are down to the final four now! How amazing and scary is that! Because three left the competition last round you might be pleased to hear that only one will be eliminated this round, then it will be down to the final three and the last task!

So, for this round I want to see your best work yet, which is why i have decided to give you girls more than a week to complete this. So don't rush into it, task your time, think everything through carefully and remember how far you have come and how close you are to the final.

Semi-final Task:


Right, this is going to be the last skills task. I want you to create a complex and original pose showing your medoll lying down. But remember, this is a covergirl competition, so the pose but be suitable to have on a magazine cover, therefore make sure her face can be seen and that she is well styled.

But no copying, and I would like to see a more complex pose, maybe with the models full body ie legs, showing too.

So, just one task to get you to the finals, so make it count. Remember every detail needs to be right, if you start the scenery and realise something is wrong, it might be far better to start again!

The second girl leaving us is... HattyLOL. I'm very sorry to see you go, you have made excellent progress and always have fab ideas. Last round you came in the top 3 and I was really excited to see your entry this round, after your progress last round. Unfortunately you didn't complete this task. I do understand how busy life can get though and really hope you continue to participate in the club and upcomming contests because you have shown great potential and growth, so well done!

Well done to both girls, you have both been amazing and I'm actually very sad to see you both go. But as i have said I can't wait to see your work in the future!

EDIT: MissDanka1975 has had to withdraw from all competitions in the club as mentioned in a previous post due to committments in real life and so will not be participating further in the competition. As said before, I am so sad to see you go and you have done brilliently, well done!

Club Covergirl Round 5

Ok, first I am very sorry to announce that nadia478 has left this competition. She contacted me a few days ago because her real life has got very busy and she can no longer spend the time she would like to on her entries. Now, we are almost at the end of this competition. This will be the second to last round before the top three are announced who will go through to the final. This means that two girls will be leaving this round, and two girls the following round. Therefore you all need make sure your standard is very very high to avoid the double eliminations. However I will also be reviewing all of your previous entries and taking those into consideration. I will be looking for more improvment and consistacy in high standards. 

Anyway, on to the task!

Motion. Defined as the action or process of moving or of changing place or position. I want you to show your medoll model in motion.  That could be falling, jumping, running, tripping, anything that invloves moving BUT:

>It must be creative

>It must be complex

>It must be dramatic and

>It must be part of a high fashion photoshoot.   

Remember this is an action shot. Your medoll is moving, so you must show that movement. Hairstyle is important, if it looks stationary then it will ruin the shoot. Horse hair might good, but it has to look professional!

You need to challenge yourself and create something inspiring and original. You must use skills you have learnt through this process and of course style your medoll in a very editorial fashion - make your medoll, model worthy!  

There is just one task this week so make it count. Don't rush, take your time and consider everything carefully.

Ok, so it is now Round 4 so this task is going to be more challenging.

Right so previous tasks have been all about developing skills. They have included being able to style your medoll, creating poses for a theme and doing cover photoshoots.

This round will have two parts to it; a theme given to the whole group and then individual themes from which you have to make a scenery with a complex pose and appropriate styling. This round will push you all, but will hopefully challenge you to help you improve your skills to take them to the next level.

PART 1.
This is for everyone to complete, and MUST be labled CG R4 P1 so that it is clear!

> Create a scenery in the club
> Theme  = Beach
> Create an original and complex pose
> Use styling appropriate to the theme (change hair and makeup etc)
> MUST use your own medoll
> Make sure the background is in keeping with the theme (but remember its all about the pose so the background does not need to be complex - less is more!)
> Have a short description
> Have a link to a blog or tinypic/imgur image. (I know that some of you isn't allowed to do this so please contact me so we can work something out)

PART 2.

For this task you will all be assigned a theme. I want to see your individual creativity and as no one else will have your theme, you each have a chance to shine.

Remember: This is a FASHION photoshoot so even though the themes are very different, you need to create a fashion shoot out of your theme, with a great pose!

Club Covergirl R3 feedback

Right, so as all the entries came in many different forms I decided to present and mark them all here. So here are all the entries that I have recieved and a score out of 10 and feedback. Scroll down to find your entry! This is not the results topic though, this will come soon.

MissDanka1975 = 9/10

I really like this outfit. It is clear that you read the task description properly and really thought about your entry. This outfit is casual and relaxed whilist still looking smart and proffesional. I love the fresh colours used and the very modern and stylish feel they create. I think you have created a very strong entry here, so excellent work!

tess6262 = 6.5/10

 This entry has both strong points and slightly weaker points to it. I like the dress you have chosen, its definately stylish however on its own like that I think it looks too smart/formal for an everyday outfit, even for a model! If you had paired it with a relaxed jacket I think that would have balenced it out. The makeup is good, just the right amount, but I feel overall the outfit needs something else to balence it out and bring it together. However it is still good work and definately in the right direction so well done.

CandyLilyMay = 6/10

 Right, I think there are both strengths and weaknesses here. I like that you have gone completely neautral in makeup, thats great and completely to the theme. The hair style is pretty, but maybe a bit too styled, but I like it. I think the dress is a good choice, however I think it needed to be styled with very different accessories. Personally I think a jacket, waist belt and larger everyday bag would have been better for this theme. Overall, while the dress is nice, the whole outfit just doesn't have the impact which it needed. But I think you did understand the theme because you haven't gone overboard, and have embraced natural beauty so well done!

nadia478 = 9/10

 This is a great entry. I can definately see the theme here, the colours make the outfit very relaxed but the actual items look stylish and the shoes are a perfet choice. The belt is a great addition and the hair stylish is a really good choice because its casual but still looks stylish. If I had one critisim it would be the black nail varnish because I think the colour is too dark for this outfit, however its minor. Overall a really great entry, well done!

Twiilight.Freak = 10/10

This is gorgeous! You have got the task exactly. Its casual and relaxed but bang on trend and carefully accessorised for maximum effect. The colours are just right and the makeup is well balenced and applied. Overall i think this a actually a perfect entry, it was exactly what I was thinking of when I wrote it to be honest! Well done!

littlestarPosh = 5/10

Ok, I think there was a little confusion over the task here. While its great that you practised your posing, that was not what this task required. This task was all about styling, and while I love the way you have styled your face, I can't really see any outfit. Good effort, and an interesting pose, just not quite what the task was about unfortunately.

bracken1234 = 7/10

 I like your take on this task. This is quite a different approach to the styling and I think it almost works, but not quite. I think having that jaket and long skirt together is a bit too much. If you have gone down a bohemian route with the long skirt or maybe used a short skirt/trousers with the jacket either would have worked, but to me this combination just doesn't quite work. Sorry, I like your hairstyle though and the natural face look. Good try, and almost there so well done :)

lali-nena-nen4e = 7/10

To me, for an everyday casual outfit I think this is a little too styled. The theme was natural beauty and understated elegance, but to me, while this is a good outfit, it doesn't quite fit the task. I think if you hadn't used the leg warmers or tights then the skirt and top combo would have been great, but the darkness of those items makes this outfit too overpowering for a casual look in my opinion. Great for the evening though! Overall well done, I really like parts of this entry, but I think it just needs a few changes.

HattyLOL = 6.5/10

Ok, so I can definately see that you understood the casual and everyday element to this task. However I think you have taken it a little too far. To me I instantly think about a sports kit when I see this outfit. The elegance and style seem to be lacking here. I think if this hadn't had the socks and shoes but had heels and a bag and maybe a jacket to balence it out this would have been a strong entry, but to me this is a little too casual for a model look. In contrast I think the eye makeup is too heavy for the theme. Sorry, good effort though and if this was a stylish sports outfit this would be awesome! :)

Right so this week the task is all about knowing what suits you and how to look your best. As a covergirl/model you need to know how to dress and style yourself so you always look at your best. However it's important to be as natural as possible - stylists on the photoshoots can style you will lots of makeup, but in everyday life you need to be able to look your best in a natural way.

So, the task is to style your medoll in the look that best suits you. However, it needs to be natural ie not loads and loads of makeup or fashion shoot outfit - just dress as you would in an everyday situation if you were a model. A model needs to show a natural sense of style and sophistication and emphasise their beauty, but not hide it with too much makeup or too bold clothing.

Summary:
>Style your medoll in a way that emphasises natural beauty.
>As a model you should only emphasise your beauty, not go over the top - try to dress in a way that shows your own style but that is also elegant and understated.
>You should post a link to your look on the club topic. You can use imgur or tinypic to do this. This would be the best way to show your look. If you don't know how to post links look on the tutorial tab of this blog, or the topic in the club.
You can use the starplazza for makeup and clothing if you want to and can take a print screen of the doll in the dressing room in its outfit then upload it to an image sharing site.

This is due by Wednesday 21st of December.

Ok, so as you can see, there are quite a few who signed up for this competition and have so far not completed any entries or contacted me. I notice that a couple of these girls have signed up for the Christmas Special competition and have said they will complete every entry, however to be honest I don't see evidence of that here!


Anyway, I don't think its fair to eliminate girls who have been active in this competition, and therefore all names in RED are eliminated!


I know this is dramatic, but I don't want to go further in this competition with members who arent participating. However i am really sad to have to do this because I know you all had star potential and several of you have been active in earlier competitions. but that is my decision.

Ok, so if your name is in Purple then you completed the task so well done :) 
If your name is in black then you did not complete the task and need to complete this one to continue in the competition.

So anyway, Task 3 is the following:

Because these tasks are all about becoming a covergirl, for this task i want you to use your medoll as a covergirl for a fashion magazine.

You don't need to include any text ie Magazine name, but you can add it after you have made the scenery in paint or something but NO COMIC BOOK TEXT on the scenery!

Here are some inspirational images:

 As you can see from these images, the model is the main focus of the cover, and all these just show the top half of the model - no legs, so please try to do the same in your entry.

I want you to show style and sophistication and glamour. Also remember that your outfit should be very stylish because it is going on a fashion magazine cover.

Also restyle your medoll accordingly - ie change hair/makeup etc.

Club Covergirl Task 1 Results.

Well, only 10 people completed the task. 8 people didn't which is very disapointing really.

On the task post I have highlighted who completed it, and who didn't.

However, out of those entries completed there was some amazing work! Everyone tried so hard and it could be seen clearly in all entries. I saw a lot of improvment and several new people entered as well which was excellent!

So, on to TASK 1.

You need to create a SCENERY in the CLUB that could go on the front page.
It should ADVERTISE and WELCOME people to the club through a POSE.
Speech bubbles, thought bubbles or any text on the scenery are NOT allowed, however you should write a short description in the comments.
I want to see an interesting pose with a well thought out message behind it.

If you take a look at the club scenery below thatb I created that should give you a better idea. There is no text and there is a pose that kind of looks like it is inviting people into the club. This is only inspiration - you need to think of your own ideas! :)
